Order! A Logical Approach to an Organized Way of Life

Order! A Logical Approach to an Organized Way of Life

Order! is written for the person who doesn’t have TIME to read a book on time management and organizing! It is short, direct, easy to understand and the skills taught in the book are simple to implement. This book was made as an ebook so you have ONE less item misplaced in your home.

If any of these issues describe you or someone you know - Get Order!
* Papers everywhere
* Difficulty managing your time
* Challenges keeping up with all there is to do
* Losing things repeatedly
* Forgetting appointments or always arriving late
* Packed cabinets, closets, and rooms with things you don’t even recognize anymore
* Surfaces layered with everything from the past month (or year)
* Filing systems that are junk drawers of disorganized papers
* The inability to know where to start and how to do so

Sample portion of Chapter 1 From the Book:

Chapter 1 - Harmony
Simplify - The Key to Improving Your Life
“Being in balance is not always about getting more things done in a given amount of time, but giving more time to the things you want to get done.”

Achieving Balance:
It is essential to know where you are headed before selecting the best path to get there. This is especially true when determining your priorities and your goals. When determining the priorities in my own life, I rely on a sure-fire way of making a decision. I ask myself one question:
If I were on my deathbed, what would I regret not having made more time for?
Based on the answers, determine the direction you want to take in various areas of my life. Then create a list of what you want to do, which you can use to schedule the years and months ahead. From that
point, identify and sort tasks into weeks, days, and hours.

When you find yourself saying, “Gosh, I wish I didn’t have to do this, or waste my time doing that,” it is time to reassess your priorities. I learned a great deal from listening to motivational speaker Tony Robbins who said, “Ask yourself a better question and you will get a better answer.” So instead of asking, Why can’t I ever do what I want to do? Why is there so much to
do all the time? or Why do I never have any free time? try asking some of these “better” questions:
What can I do that would be more enjoyable?
If I had more time on my hands, what would I do with it?
What could I stop doing to relieve stress?
What could I give up, even for a short time, that would free up some of my time?
How can I make my work more efficient (easier, more fun, etc.)?
How can I make this space look better?
Where can I put this paper where I will find it again?
What can I do with these things to get them off the floor, yet have
them accessible?

Are you getting the idea?

By asking yourself a more specific and positive question, you allow the creative part of your brain to come up with a better answer. Try this approach any time you are stuck in a situation where an easy answer does not seem apparent. The above idea I’ve shared has been put into practice not only in my own life, but in the lives of many others struggling with similar challenges. My previously over-complicated life caused me
to suffer. The suffering took the form of less time with my children (which my children and I hated), less time with my husband (which my husband and I hated), and no time for myself (which I hated). After becoming frustrated enough to want to make drastic changes, I made a
list of all my commitments and responsibilities, i.e., the number of hats I was wearing. I tracked these over a period of several months. The list was staggering. The huge number of projects I was involved in, businesses I was running, and activities I was scheduling clearly caused the
feeling of doom which loomed over me. I was headed for burnout.
